LT's 2006 season
Voted the NFL's Most Valuable Player in 2006, LaDainian Tomlinson of the San Diego Chargers shattered some previous league marks, one of which was a long-standing record held by a Hall of Famer.
Tomlinson amassed an incredible 186 points in '06 to surpass the record 176 points that Paul Hornung scored for the Green Bay Packers during a 12-game season in 1960.
LT's scoring output came via 31 touchdowns (28 rushing, 3 receiving) that also places him in the record book. His single-season touchdown total eclipsed the 28 touchdowns scored by Shaun Alexander of the Seattle Seahawks in 2005.
