Former NFL wide receiver Danny Abramowicz (center) visited the Hall of Fame with his wife Claudia and father Stanley "Paper" Abramowicz on Friday April 4 to donate a helmet from his playing days. A native of Stuebenville, Ohio Abramowicz is pictured in front of the display that includes the ball he caught on October 20, 1974 to surpass Lance Alworth in the NFL record books for most consecutive games with a reception. He held the mark until November 4, 1979. He wore the helmet pictured above on October 17, 1971 when he caught a pass then collided with a television camera in a New Orleans Saints victory over the Dallas Cowboys. |
