Former NFLer Michael Oriard visits HOF
Michael Oriard, who played four seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs in the early 1970s, visited the Hall of Fame on Friday. Currently a Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State, Oriard was gathering material and information for a documentary film about the history of football.
He and his wife Julie hold a picture out of the Hall of Fame’s collection of Michael from his playing days. A center drafted out of Notre Dame in the fifth round of the 1970 NFL Draft, Oriard played in 42 games in his career.
Original HOF Board member dead at 83
Stu Wilkins, an original member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Board of Trustees, died on Tuesday.
