Sam Darnold will set NFL record in first start

Sam Darnold, who is 21 years, 97 days old today, will become the youngest quarterback to start a season-opening game in the Super Bowl era. New England’s DREW BLEDSOE previously set the record on September 5, 1993 against Buffalo at 21 years, 203 days old.

Pro Football Hall of Fame officials have already put in a request to receive an artifact to commemorate Darnold's record.
