The Mission: Featuring Hall of Famer, Tony Dungy
Every Thursday, Hall of Fame Productions is proud to air a new episode of “The Mission” podcast. During the month of June, we’ll pay tribute to the winners of the first “Awards of Excellence” being presented June 30 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame by interviewing a member from each selection committee.
Early this spring, the Hall announced it would present 20 Awards of Excellence that will pay tribute to four vital groups to every NFL football organization and their operation: assistant coaches, trainers, equipment mangers and public relations personnel.
This week’s guest is Tony Dungy, former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a member of the esteemed Awards of Excellence selections committee.
On “The Mission” podcast, Dungy talked in depth about the honorees, their contributions to the game and how the 2022 assistant coaches honorees list was formed: Alex Gibbs, Jimmy Raye, Terry Robiskie, Fritz Shurmur and Ernie Zampese.
